Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx told a late-night audience Tuesday that he has a baby on the way with his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp, making him a father of three at 58.
Foxx broke the news himself on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," grinning through a string of jokes about aging, fatherhood, and the school drop-off line he thought he had left behind. The 58-year-old actor already has two daughters, Corinne Foxx, 32, and Annalise Bishop, 17, from previous relationships. This will be his first child with Huckstepp, his 31-year-old girlfriend.
Page Six reported that Foxx leaned into the moment on air, telling Kimmel:
"I got a baby on the way... still got it!"
He didn't stop there. Foxx acknowledged the obvious arithmetic of becoming a new dad at his age, telling Kimmel he "wasn't on the fence about it, but being 58... you know what I'm saying?" He then recounted a conversation with fellow actor Al Pacino, who welcomed a child at 83.
"I said, 'Al, how old are you?' He said, '84.' I said, 'Man, you're gonna be 84 years old back in the drop-off line.'"
Pacino's alleged reply, as Foxx told it: "84 years old, back in the drop-off line, every time I get out, they pull me back in", a nod to his famous line from "The Godfather Part III."
Foxx didn't shy away from the reality of raising a young child deep into his sixties. He told Kimmel he has already set expectations with Huckstepp.
"I even tell my girl, I said, 'Look, just hang in there for 12 years.'"
His math was blunt. If he's 58 now, he'll be 70 when the child turns 12. At that point, Foxx joked, Huckstepp can "just put a blanket over my thighs, give me some tapioca pudding." The audience bit landed, but the underlying message was clear enough, Foxx knows the clock, and he's choosing to do it anyway.
Foxx and Huckstepp were first linked publicly in May 2022, when they were spotted together on a yacht in Cannes. About three months later, Huckstepp joined him at the premiere of his film "Day Shift," confirming the relationship.
The couple weathered a serious medical episode in 2023, when Foxx suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke. An anonymous source told People magazine in April 2024 that Huckstepp "has been there" for Foxx and called her a "great" and "loyal" presence in his life.
But the relationship hit a wall. Foxx and Huckstepp split in January 2025 after roughly three years together. They reconciled a few months later. Page Six reported in May that Huckstepp was "several months along" in her pregnancy.
Foxx's older daughter, Corinne, 32, is his child with ex Connie Kline. His younger daughter, Annalise, 17, is his child with ex Kristin Grannis. The new baby will make Foxx a father of three, spanning more than three decades of fatherhood.
Foxx, best known for his Oscar-winning turn in "Ray" and his role in "Django Unchained," has kept much of his personal life out of public view in recent years, particularly after his 2023 health crisis. His decision to announce the pregnancy on national television marked a rare departure from that pattern.
At 58, Foxx isn't asking anyone's permission, and in a culture that often treats fatherhood as an afterthought, there's something refreshing about a man who still treats it like a privilege.
