Trump severs ties with Epstein over misconduct at Mar-a-Lago

 January 1, 2026, NEWS

President Donald Trump took decisive action against Jeffrey Epstein in 2003, banning him from Mar-a-Lago after disturbing allegations surfaced about his behavior toward a young employee.

A fresh report from Daily Caller confirmed that Trump cut all ties with Epstein after the sex offender pressured an 18-year-old beautician for sexual favors during a house call from the club.

Details from The Wall Street Journal reveal the incident prompted a manager to send a fax directly to Trump, urging Epstein’s removal from the premises. Trump read the letter, agreed with its contents, and ordered the ban without hesitation.

Early Connections Turn Sour at Mar-a-Lago

Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Epstein was a familiar face at Trump’s Palm Beach club, often receiving spa services from young female employees sent to his nearby mansion. The arrangement, while initially routine, took a dark turn with the 2003 complaint that exposed his predatory conduct.

The beautician’s allegations were reported to Mar-a-Lago’s human resources team, though no police report was filed at the time. Two years later, Palm Beach authorities began investigating Epstein after a separate accusation of molesting a 14-year-old high school student surfaced.

Epstein faced arrest in 2006 on charges of soliciting prostitution, marking the beginning of his legal downfall. Meanwhile, Trump’s swift decision to bar him from the club stood as a clear line drawn against such behavior.

Official Statements Reinforce Trump’s Stance

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t mince words when addressing the issue to The Wall Street Journal. “No matter how many times this story is told and retold, the truth remains: President Trump did nothing wrong and he kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of Mar a Lago for being a creep,” she stated.

Leavitt’s statement cuts through the noise of recycled narratives, pointing to a consistent record of Trump rejecting Epstein’s actions. It’s a sharp reminder that accountability mattered at Mar-a-Lago long before public scrutiny intensified.

Other voices, including Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former business partner, have echoed similar sentiments about Trump’s conduct. In August, Maxwell told Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that Trump had always been a “gentleman in all respects” and never engaged in any illegal acts.

Disturbing Links and Tragic Outcomes

Mar-a-Lago’s connection to Epstein revealed deeper ties, with four other club employees listed in his address book, later obtained by the FBI in 2009. One former employee, Virginia Giuffre, left the club at 16 to work for Epstein, where she alleged Maxwell recruited her for sex acts.

Giuffre’s story ended in tragedy, with her death by suicide in April casting a somber shadow over the exploitation she endured. Her experience underscores the predatory web Epstein spun, often targeting vulnerable young women.

While Mar-a-Lago was subpoenaed in 2021 during Maxwell’s case, no evidence has linked Trump to any wrongdoing. Several of Epstein’s victims, speaking to NBC News in September, confirmed they never saw or heard of Trump involved in misconduct.

Transparency Efforts and Lingering Questions

The Department of Justice has been releasing Epstein-related documents under The Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by Trump in November. Some files, however, contain unfounded claims about Trump, submitted before the 2020 election, which the agency has flagged as sensationalist.

A 2020 email from a federal prosecutor alleged Trump flew on Epstein’s jet at least eight times between 1993 and 1996, though no context ties these trips to illicit activity. The flights, while documented, stand apart from the clear boundary Trump set in 2003 at Mar-a-Lago.

These records aim to shed light on a murky chapter, yet they also risk fueling baseless speculation against those who, like Trump, took steps to distance themselves from Epstein’s crimes. The focus should remain on the predator’s actions, not on distorting the response of those who rejected him.
