A watchdog group just dropped a bombshell video that’s got socialist activists cheering instead of shrinking.
The Canary Mission, an antisemitism watchdog, recently released a video exposing what they see as a calculated move by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) to infiltrate and undermine the Democratic Party from within, as Fox News reports.
This video, packed with recorded remarks from DSA leaders, paints a grim picture of their disdain for the Democrats, with some calling the party “toxic” and others insisting it must be dismantled.
Canary Mission didn’t hold back, using a “cuckoo analogy” to describe DSA’s tactics—likening them to a bird that sneaks its egg into another’s nest, only to push out the rightful chicks.
The video narrator warned, “The DSA is the cuckoo inside the Democratic Party.” That’s a vivid image, and it’s meant to alarm anyone who values the Democratic Party’s traditional structure.
But here’s the twist: instead of recoiling, DSA leaders and activists have embraced this critique as if it’s a shiny new billboard for their cause.
Socialist voices, including Nicolás Vargas from the Central Brooklyn DSA branch, didn’t just shrug off the video—they celebrated it.
Vargas quipped, “New DSA recruitment ad for communists just dropped.” Talk about owning the narrative; this kind of bravado suggests they’re not just unapologetic but eager to double down.
Others, like Giovanetta Marangoz, co-chair of the New York City Young Democratic Socialists of America, echoed the sentiment with a cheeky, “New recruitment ad unlocked.”
At the center of this storm is Zohran Mamdani, a self-described socialist and DSA member running for New York City mayor on the Democratic ticket.
Mamdani, who bested former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary earlier this year, has openly collaborated with DSA, including working with them to craft a platform that pushes policies like free gender-affirming care nationwide.
During events like the “New York Is Not For Sale” rally last week and a canvass launch in Prospect Park on Aug. 17, Mamdani has surrounded himself with DSA allies, signaling a tight partnership.
Canary Mission also rolled out graphics targeting DSA factions like the Red Star Caucus and Marxist Unity Group, accusing them of aiming to “weaken and ultimately dismantle” American institutions and erode the influence of the U.S. police state.
While these accusations are meant to raise red flags, DSA-affiliated users on social media platforms have instead praised these goals, showing no hesitation in their radical ambitions.
It’s a bold stance, and one that raises serious questions about the future direction of progressive politics—can a party withstand such internal ideological warfare, or are we watching the groundwork for a seismic shift?
