Just 24 hours later, on February 28, Andrew fired off an email to Epstein, not to distance himself, but to express concern and camaraderie, signing off with a promise that they’d “play some more soon!!!!” as reported by The Mail on Sunday.
That cozy sign-off flies in the face of his 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, where he swore he hadn’t contacted Epstein since their New York walk—turns out, that was a stretch of the truth longer than the Thames.
Now, about that infamous photo with Giuffre—Andrew hinted on Newsnight it might be doctored, yet a 2023 probe by The Mail on Sunday confirmed its authenticity, and tellingly, he didn’t dispute it in his email to Epstein.
Giuffre herself told The Mail on Sunday she endured years of abuse under Epstein’s control and was coerced into encounters with Andrew, allegations he’s vehemently denied despite settling with her for a reported 12 million pounds in 2022, without admitting fault.
