Former FBI agent links Biden policies to tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk

 September 16, 2025, NEWS

A former FBI agent has pointed a finger at the Biden administration, suggesting its policies may have fueled the toxic ideology behind the shocking assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. This devastating incident has sparked a heated debate about the state of our classrooms and the cultural currents shaping young minds.

According to Daily Caller, Kirk was fatally shot by 22-year-old Tyler Robinson during a “Prove Me Wrong” event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. The tragedy has left many questioning how such a young individual could be driven to commit such an act.

Former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan, speaking on Fox News with host Trey Gowdy, didn’t mince words about the broader societal failures at play. He argued that the ease of indicting Robinson is a mere formality compared to the challenge of assembling an impartial jury in such a polarized climate.

Indoctrination in Classrooms Under Scrutiny

Kaplan went further, claiming the Biden administration allowed schools to morph into “factories of indoctrination” peddling dangerous ideas. He suggested that isolated young people like Robinson, steeped in social media and video games, are being spoon-fed destructive narratives that warp their sense of reality.

This isn’t just about one troubled individual, Kaplan warned. He believes the FBI is deeply concerned about a generation of youth shaped by ideologies unchecked by any moral compass, a trend he ties directly to recent political leadership.

His words cut to the heart of a growing unease: have we let our education system become a breeding ground for extremism? While some may balk at pinning this on policy alone, the correlation between cultural shifts and violent acts demands a hard look.

Societal Decay and Loss of Values

Kaplan also lamented a broader erosion of what he called “moral fiber” in society, a decline he attributes to decisions made under the previous administration. He pointed to the removal of faith from schools and the tolerance of flag desecration as signs of a nation adrift.

Even more striking was his reference to university campuses, where he claims Ivy League institutions have condoned anti-Semitic behavior and destruction that would have been unthinkable in past decades. This, he argues, sets a dangerous precedent for impressionable minds like Robinson’s.

While empathy may emerge for Robinson as a young man possibly swayed by external forces, Kaplan insists the root issue lies in a societal framework that’s been allowed to rot. Excusing such acts as mere brainwashing risks ignoring the deeper policy failures that got us here.

Campus Protests and Cultural Tensions

The backdrop to Kaplan’s critique includes recent campus unrest, with pro-Hamas demonstrations at universities following the October 7, 2023, attack by the terrorist group that killed over 1,200 in Israel. These protests, marked by building occupations and slogans hinting at Israel’s destruction, have blocked Jewish students from campus areas, fueling further division.

Such scenes, Kaplan suggests, are symptomatic of a culture that’s lost its bearings, where destructive behavior is tolerated under the guise of free expression. It’s a slippery slope when higher education, meant to elevate discourse, instead becomes a flashpoint for hostility.

His call to “clean this mess up” resonates as a plea for accountability, not just for Robinson, but for the systems that may have shaped his path. Ignoring these warning signs only invites more tragedy, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.

A Nation at a Crossroads

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox added another layer, revealing Robinson was in a relationship with a biological male identifying as a transgender woman, a detail that may complicate public perception. While Robinson remains uncooperative with authorities, his reported partner is assisting, though the full impact of this dynamic on the case remains unclear.

As Kaplan noted, this trial won’t happen overnight, likely stretching into next year, giving time for sympathies to form around Robinson as a product of his environment. Yet, leaning too heavily on that narrative risks absolving the larger forces at play, from classroom teachings to political rhetoric.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk is a gut punch, a reminder of how far we’ve strayed from shared values and civil debate. If we’re to turn this corner, as Kaplan urges, it starts with confronting uncomfortable truths about the ideologies we’ve let fester, and rebuilding a foundation that doesn’t breed violence in young hearts.
