An early morning operation led by the FBI has resulted in multiple detentions at a Southern California home.

According to KTVU FOX 2, Authorities have detained several individuals following a raid on a home connected to an alleged "TikTok cult" overseen by Robert Shinn, portrayed in a recent Netflix docuseries.

The joint operation, involving the FBI and the El Monte Tactical Team, occurred at approximately 7 a.m. in the 7700 block of McGroarty in Tujunga. Law enforcement targeted a property purportedly linked to the Shekinah Church.

Extensive Criminal Allegations Spur FBI Action

The raid centered around allegations of severe criminal activities, including money laundering, mail fraud, tax evasion, sex trafficking, and exploitation connected to the COVID-19 pandemic.

No injuries or gunfire were reported as officials meticulously executed the operation. An elderly woman, seen in a wheelchair, was among those spoken to by the officers outside the raided property.

Robert Shinn, who presides over the Shekinah Church, has been publicly accused and is now facing multiple charges following this targeted FBI intervention. The docuseries "Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult" has spotlighted Shinn's purported unethical activities, drawing additional scrutiny.

Former Church Member Accuses Leader of Abuse

Melanie Lee, a former member of the Shekinah Church, has voiced powerful accusations against Shinn. Lee depicts Shinn as a malevolent figure exploiting his pastoral position for criminal activities.

Shinn's leadership has drawn controversies, with allegations swirling around labor exploitation and sexual misconduct, further noted by participants of the "Dancing for the Devil" docuseries.

The full scope of the arrests and identities of those detained remain unclear, with authorities keeping details confidential as part of the ongoing investigation. This continued secrecy underscores the complexity and sensitivity of the case.

Postal Service Involved in Ongoing Investigations

A spokesperson from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service highlighted their involvement in the ongoing investigation. Coordination among multiple law enforcement branches is crucial to uncovering the full range of illegal activities allegedly orchestrated by Shinn and his associates.

Authorities ensured the public and media that updates would be provided as the investigating teams are able to disclose more details.

As part of today’s efforts, court authorized search warrants were executed. This remains an active case, and we are continuing to gather and review information. We will provide further updates as the investigation allows.

The investigations are far from over, with potential additional charges and further arrests possible. The seriousness of the allegations and the scale of the purported criminal network suggest a lengthy, intricate legal battle ahead.

In summarizing, the FBI-led raid has marked a significant development in the case against Robert Shinn and his associated activities. Allegations range from financial crimes to human trafficking, all centered around the home linked to the Shekinah Church. The community and former members await further developments as the investigation continues to unfold.
