According to Fox Business, Mega Metal, a Turkey-based manufacturer, will invest $34 million to build a 91,000-square-foot facility in Fairfield County, South Carolina, creating 135 new jobs.
The facility, scheduled to begin operations in September, will focus on producing superfine electrolytic oxygen-free (EOF) copper wire. This strategic expansion marks Mega Metal's entry into the North American market, with the plant expected to manufacture 55 million pounds of wire annually.
