According to The US Sun, Julian Holloway, father of former supermodel Sophie Dahl, passed away at the age of 80, concluding a remarkable 59-year career in television and film.

His acting journey began in 1961 with an appearance in The Avengers, followed by his first major role as Quentin in the television series Our Man Higgins.

Between 1967 and 1976, Holloway became a familiar face in the beloved Carry On comedy film series, appearing in eight films alongside renowned actors Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtrey. His participation in these productions helped establish him as a prominent figure in British comedy.

The actor's talent extended beyond comedy, as he took on dramatic roles in various television series including The Sweeney. His final performance came in 2020 when he voiced Prime Minister Almec in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
