Jailed Pedophile Sues Donald Trump Over Alleged Racist Remarks, Seeks $30,000

 January 12, 2025

Anthony Sharp has filed a lawsuit against President-Elect Donald Trump, claiming emotional distress from alleged racist comments.

According to Mail Online, convicted pedophile Anthony Sharp, currently serving time in California, is pursuing up to $30,000 in damages from Donald Trump for remarks made during an August 2024 speech.

Sharp, imprisoned for possessing child pornography, alleges Trump’s speech about immigration and job theft included racist remarks specifically targeting Black individuals by suggesting they historically held lowly jobs. This legal action was initiated in Palm Beach County, Florida, with Trump being officially served on December 2.

Public Figures React to Trump's Comments on 'Black Jobs'

Donald Trump's comment "They're taking the employment from black people" during his speech triggered responses from high-profile figures, including Simone Biles and Michelle Obama. Simone humorously tweeted, "I love my black job," while Obama remarked indirectly about Trump's pursuit of a presidential role, possibly being viewed as a “black job.”

Anthony Sharp criticized these comments for perpetuating historical racial stereotypes. He stated that Trump’s view, framing certain jobs as inherently "Black," notably reminiscent of slave-era occupations like cotton picking, deepened his emotional distress.

Anthony Sharp expressed, "What Trump said on national TV was downright racist as this particular defendant has a well-known history of making such comments. Immigrants are stealing black jobs, just to make that statement alone is racist as well as slanderous to me and my family, because what is a black job? Well let me tell you what a black job is, really from a black point of view a black job is considered picking cotton – peanuts etc. for their slave masters."

The timing of the lawsuit coincides with Trump's recent legal victories where he was cleared of multiple felonies unrelated to this case and his subsequent victory in the presidential election against Kamala Harris.

Trump, Sharp, and Ongoing Legal Controversies

Previously, Trump faced criticism for seemingly supporting controversial figures and ideologies, as highlighted by his dinner with white supremacist Nick Fuentes, adding context to the ongoing controversies surrounding his statements about race.

Despite his incarceration, Sharp emphasizes that his action against Trump is motivated by an attempt to protect his family from the impact of Trump's rhetoric. He insists that while he holds no personal animosity towards Trump, his priority remains the well-being of his family.

The lawsuit claims, "That makes you racist and a liar." highlighting Sharp's argument that Trump’s comments directly affected him and his racial community negatively.

Trump’s representatives have yet to respond to the lawsuit. Meanwhile, the case draws further scrutiny of Trump's rhetoric, which has been a continual source of contention throughout his career.

Incendiary Politics and Societal Impact

This case underlines the significant societal impact that political figures can have through their words and actions. It remains to be seen how this lawsuit will influence public perception of Trump as he prepares to re-enter the Oval Office.

In conclusion, this legal confrontation emphasizes ongoing debates about race, employment, and immigration in American politics, with Trump at the center of another contentious dispute as he steps into his presidential term. This highlights the challenges and complexities of addressing racial issues in public discourse, especially when amplified by individuals in positions of high influence.
