FBI Investigates Mysterious Car-Sized Drones Over Trump's Golf Course and Military Base

 December 4, 2024

Mysterious aerial activity has alarmed residents in northern New Jersey as unexplained flying objects hover over high-profile locations.

According to Daily Mail, the FBI has launched an investigation into reports of car-sized drones spotted over Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster and Picatinny Arsenal Military Base in Rockaway, featuring green and red lights on their wings.

The sightings began in mid-November, with multiple eyewitnesses describing objects larger than typical hobbyist drones.

Local residents report the aerial vehicles appear nightly and remain active for hours, causing significant concern throughout Morris County and surrounding areas.

Military Base Security and Residential Impact Assessment

The Federal Aviation Administration first received alerts about the unusual activity near the military base on November 18. The agency has since implemented drone flight bans over both the Trump National Golf Club until December 6 and the Picatinny Arsenal Military Base until December 26.

Morris County resident Julie Shavalier expressed her concerns about the situation:

We're all completely unnerved. I didn't sleep last night. When I would get up and look out my window, at 2am, 4am, they were still hovering.

The incidents have drawn the attention of multiple federal agencies. The FAA has warned that drone operators endangering aircraft or pedestrians could face fines of up to $75,000 and lose their pilot certificates.

National Security Concerns and Speculation

The timing of these drone sightings has sparked discussions about potential security threats, particularly given recent events involving President-elect Donald Trump. In November, authorities thwarted an Iranian assassination attempt against Trump, and reports emerged about Chinese spies hacking phones belonging to Trump's lawyer and campaign staff.

Local resident Christian Kalweit noted the unusual size of the aircraft:

All somebody needs to do is see the size... you're not buying that off of Amazon or some hobby store.

The incidents have generated various theories on social media platforms, with some suggesting foreign surveillance operations while others speculate about commercial drone testing or UFO activity.

Current Investigation Status and Future Developments

The FBI currently leads the investigation into these mysterious drone flights, working alongside local law enforcement and military authorities. Eric Kowal, spokesman for Picatinny Arsenal, maintains that while flying drones over the base without authorization is illegal, they do not currently perceive an immediate threat.

Morris County Sheriff James Gannon has assured residents there is no immediate danger to the public. However, the investigation continues as authorities work to identify the source and purpose of these aerial activities.

Questions remain about who operates these drones and their intentions. The investigation seeks to determine whether these incidents represent a security threat or unauthorized surveillance of sensitive locations.
