Michael Hopkins, the communications director for Representative Joe Morelle, was arrested after attempting to bring ammunition into the US House office building, the New York Post reported.
The arrest occurred on a Monday morning when security procedures detected four magazines of ammunition in Michael Hopkins' bag during an X-ray screening at the entrance. This discovery led Capitol Police to take immediate action, detaining Hopkins for unlawful possession of ammunition, including possession of a high-capacity magazine.
