'True!!': Trump Backs Plan For Widespread Deportation Upon Taking Office

 November 19, 2024

President-elect Donald Trump has unveiled a controversial plan aiming for mass deportations and expanded immigration detention facilities.

Immediately after his inauguration, Trump intends to declare a national emergency to mobilize military assets to enforce stringent immigration controls, Fox News reported.

Trump's decision follows his endorsement of a social media post by Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, which advocates for the use of military assets in mass deportations. His readiness was confirmed this Monday, hinting at aggressive measures to tackle what he terms the "Biden invasion."

Historical Precedent Invoked for Planned Deportations

Previously, during his campaign, Trump promised a deportation initiative reminiscent of former President Dwight D. Eisenhower's mid-20th century approach, known as the "Eisenhower Model." This model references a series of mass deportations in the 1950s aimed at removing undocumented immigrants.

"Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history," Trump stated in September, evidencing his long-term focus on this stringent policy initiative.

Adding pressure to an already tense immigration stance, Trump plans to use the Alien Enemies Act to target and deport gang members and drug traffickers specifically. He also noted the military's role would extend to halting fentanyl trafficking, leveraging Navy capabilities alongside troops.

State Leaders Voice Strong Opposition

Trump's declarative stances have not gone unopposed. Governors from states like Massachusetts and Illinois have voiced their concerns and resistance. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey affirmed she would employ every available tool to shield residents from federal actions that might threaten their safety.

In addition, to emphasize the gravity of opposition at the state level, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker pointed out, "We cannot prohibit them, federal law enforcement, from coming into our state to, you know, conduct raids or do anything else like that," indicating a reluctant acceptance of federal overreach despite personal opposition.

Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for Trump's transition team, passionately argued that Trump's reelection confirms public support for his immigration policies. "The American people re-elected President Trump by a resounding margin, giving him a mandate to implement the promises he made on the campaign trail. He will deliver," she asserted.

Military and Infrastructure Preparations Underway

Discussions on expanding detention centers have progressed, with talks involving private prison corporations hinting at large-scale infrastructural growth to house detainees.

Moreover, Trump's plans mirror actions from earlier in his political career when he declared a national emergency in 2019 to fund the southern border wall, a cornerstone of his previous administration's policy.

In addition to administrative preparations, Trump announced strategic appointments, positioning Tom Homan as the "border czar" and proposing Kristi Noem for Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, staffing key roles with individuals aligned with his vision for America's immigration policy.

In conclusion, Trump's immigration plan thus reflects a consistent, though divisive, approach to governance, combining historical methods with modern enforcement mechanisms. This initiative, defined largely by its focus on deportation and detention, stands poised to redefine America's demographic and political landscape, impacting countless lives and testing the boundaries of state and federal powers in a new administration marked by bold, confrontational policy shifts.
