Sundance Head is now recuperating following an accidental shooting on his property.
While on a hunting trip at his East Texas ranch, country singer Sundance Head was accidentally shot in the stomach when his .22 caliber pistol discharged unexpectedly, AP News reported.
According to Trey Newman, the agent of Sundance Head, the accident occurred as the singer was retrieving something from his vehicle. The pistol, stored in its holster, fell and set off a shot as it struck the vehicle's exterior.
The incident prompted an urgent airlift of Sundance Head to a hospital located in Tyler, Texas, which is about 100 miles east of Dallas. The medical team was quick to attend to him upon arrival.
