King Harris, son of famed rapper T.I., was apprehended by Georgia police last week.
During a police traffic stop, 19-year-old King Harris dodged a collision with a police vehicle and was subsequently discovered carrying a firearm, the Daily Mail reported.
The close call occurred as Harris left a gas station in Dunwoody, Georgia. A firearm was visibly tucked on Harris's hip, alerting the officer who also detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle during the traffic stop.
Further checks by the officer revealed an outstanding warrant for Harris in Pickens County related to a failure to appear. Harris complied with the police, who proceeded to handcuff and search him.
"I informed Mr. Harris that I would need to speak with him outside and opened the driver-side door," explained the arresting officer.
In addition to Harris's arrest, two other individuals in the car were cited for marijuana possession, although they were not placed under arrest.
