New York Democrat Outlandish Comments on Trump Rally in New York City

 October 10, 2024

Last week, the Harris campaign confirmed that it will be ramping up the negative campaign ads against Trump, completely dismissing the two assassination attempts made against him.

As bad as that is, it is not quite as bad as the recent comments from State Sen. Brad Hoylman-Sigal regarding Trump's upcoming rally in New York City.

Democrat Rhetoric Against Donald Trump

As I have stated many times, Donald Trump is far from innocent when it comes to throwing out rhetoric, but he is far from alone in this game. I have zero issue with people calling him out for his inflammatory rhetoric, but what bothers me is that the media pretends that Trump is the only person guilty of this.

Democrats have said some pretty disgusting things over the years against Trump. And yes, I do believe they are saying these things on purpose to get people fired up about him. Do I think they are doing it to inspire these whackos who have taken shots at Trump? Well, I won't formally put down my opinion on paper, but I think you know where I stand. As Democrats say, words matter, and their words have been pretty powerful and inflammatory.

For example, in November 2023, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) discussed Donald Trump with former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, now a talking head on MSNBC. During that interview, Goldman stated:

"And it is just unquestionable at this point that man cannot see public office again. He is not only unfit, he is destructive to our democracy, and he has to be eliminated."

Just days after the second assassination attempt against Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton was doing an interview, where she stated:

"Well, the object in this case is Donald Trump. His demagoguery, his danger to our country and the world. And stick with it."

Karine Jean-Pierre, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris have repeatedly called Trump a "threat to democracy," with Joe Biden also having once told donors that they needed to put a "bullseye" on Trump. During one interview, Harris joked about killing Donald Trump. The Trump campaign actually posted a full list of every quote given by Democrats on this on X.

New York Democrat Horrifying Comments About Trump's Upcoming Rally

This week, Donald Trump announced that he had booked Madison Square Garden for a rally in his effort to take New York in the upcoming election. I don't understand the move myself, with Harris having a 14.1% lead in the average of all polls, with recent polling showing an even larger deficit of 22%. I would prefer to see Trump spend his money in Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Wisconsin to steal a Blue Wall state. Regardless, Trump announced the rally, which brought about criticism from State Senator Hoylman-Sigal. He likened the rally to a Nazy rally that took place in New York in 1939. He stated:

"Let's be clear. Allowing Trump to hold an event at MSG is equivalent to the infamous Nazis rally at Madison Square Garden on February 20, 1939.

"This is a disastrous decision by Madison Square Garden that will endanger the public safety of New Yorkers and has the potential to incite widespread violence. For the good of NYC and its residents, I demand @TheGarden keep our city safe by cancelling the Trump Rally."

Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded:

"This is the same type of dangerous rhetoric that led to two assassination attempts on President Trump's life and has divided our country.

"This no-name New York State Senator should resign in disgrace over this egregious comment. Meanwhile, President Trump will pack the house at Madison Square Garden on his nationwide tour to Make America Great Again."

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.) added:

"What a terribly disgusting thing to say…and by the way it's members of YOUR party who are running around our city with Hamas and Hezbollah flags, terrorizing Jews on college campuses."

Analysis

The comments are horrifying, to say the least. For ordinary people, we can brush them off as idiotic, but there are clearly people out there who take this stuff very seriously and act upon it. What do you think is happening right now in the mind of some unstable liberal who believes that Trump is now the next coming of Hitler? There are media personalities out there who are outraged at the accusations by Republicans that Democrats want Trump dead. For instance, ABC News' George Stephanopoulos lost his temper during a recent panel discussion about this, but are they really wrong?

When you start combining these attacks, "Hitler," "threat to democracy," "must be eliminated," and a "danger to the world," are you not getting people whipped up to the point that you are hoping one of them acts upon these words? At what point do we say enough is enough? The worst part about this is the constant gaslighting by the media and Democrats that Trump is the only one spewing dangerous rhetoric because that is clearly not the case here.
