Fox News’ Peter Doocy Calls Out White House for Dangerous Rhetoric

 September 18, 2024

For months, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and many high-profile Democrats have called Donald Trump a "threat to democracy."

For the second time during this campaign, an attempt was made on Donald Trump's life, and Fox News' Peter Doocy finally called out the White House to tone down its rhetoric, but it was not taken well by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Biden and Harris Calling Trump a "Threat"

If your "leader" calls someone a "threat" to a group's way of life, it is fairly easy to conclude that at some point, someone will take those words to heart and try to eliminate that threat. In our last report (click here to read), we outlined the violent rhetoric coming from other high-profile Democrats. Now, we want to specifically call out Biden and Harris' rhetoric on this front.

On Monday, July 8, 2024, Joe Biden had a private call with donors that was leaked to the media. In that call, Biden stated:

"We need to move forward. Look, we have roughly 40 days til the convention, 120 days til the election. We can't waste any more time being distracted.

"I have one job, and that's to beat Donald Trump. I'm absolutely certain I'm the best person to be able to do that. So, we're done talking about the debate, it's time to put Trump in a bullseye."

Let that word sink in for a moment… "Bullseye." Five days later, Donald Trump was shot in Pennsylvania, and a Trump supporter was killed by an assassin. Biden then vowed to dial it down, but only days later, during an interview with NBC News, Biden again called Trump a "threat to democracy." He has probably said it dozens of times since and hundreds of times before that shot was taken.

The Biden-Harris campaign had taken out ads pushing blatant misinformation about the Supreme Court as well as calling Trump a threat to democracy. Harris also has posted saying that Trump will be a "dictator from day one," a claim that has been debunked many times, as well as a being a "threat to our democracy and fundamental dreams." Harris has made the same post on X. For example, she stated:

"Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy and fundamental freedoms. President @JoeBiden and I will restore Roe, protect voting rights, and finally address our gun violence epidemic.

"The contrast could not be clearer."

Doocy Calls Out White House for Violent Rhetoric

Fox News' Peter Doocy really caught White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre off guard when he hit her with a question about the Trump assassination on Tuesday. Jean-Pierre feigned outrage over the question, then proceeded to talk out of both sides of her mouth to justify the comments regularly made by the White House against Donald Trump. Doocy, in a very aggressive tone, asked Jean Pierre:

"How many more assassination attempts on Donald Trump until the president and vice president and you pick a different word to describe Trump, other than 'threat?'"

This was her response…

Analysis

Equal treatment… that is all we are asking for from the media on this front. You cannot constantly criticize Donald Trump for his rhetoric while giving Democrats a pass. And yes, their rhetoric and attacks against Trump have been far more violent, as we outlined in our last report (click here to read that report). Trump has never called for people to put a bullet into Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, nor has he called for someone to eliminate them, but those words have come from high-profile Democrats. It was great to see Doocy call out the White House. Now we just need the rest of the mainstream media to get on board and maybe, just maybe, we can start to get back to some normalcy in this country.
