Matthew Perry's Final Demand Before Tragic Passing: 'Shoot Me Up With A Big One'

 August 17, 2024

On August 17, 2024, new details emerged about the final hours of beloved "Friends" actor Matthew Perry, who passed away on October 28, 2023.  Fox News reported on the developments, which shed light on the circumstances surrounding Perry's untimely death.

According to a plea agreement from Perry's assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, the actor's last day involved multiple ketamine injections and a tragic series of events.

The plea agreement revealed that Iwamasa administered ketamine injections to Perry on the morning of his death. The first injection was given around 8:30 a.m., followed by another at 12:45 p.m. while Perry was watching a movie.

Approximately 40 minutes later, Perry allegedly made a request to his assistant that would prove to be his last.

Detailed Account Of Perry's Final Hours

According to the plea agreement, Perry instructed Iwamasa to administer another injection, reportedly saying, "Shoot me up with a big one." This third injection was given while Perry was near or in a Jacuzzi. Following this, Iwamasa left the residence to run errands for the actor.

Upon returning to the home, Iwamasa made the tragic discovery of Perry "face down" in the Jacuzzi, deceased. This series of events paints a somber picture of the actor's final moments and the circumstances leading to his passing.

The plea agreement also revealed that Perry had been introduced to Dr. Salvador Plasencia, a ketamine source, by Iwamasa in September. Plasencia allegedly taught the assistant how to inject Perry with ketamine, using drugs obtained from Dr. Mark Chavez, who previously ran a ketamine clinic.

Escalation Of Ketamine Use In Weeks Prior

In the weeks leading up to Perry's death, his ketamine use reportedly escalated. The plea agreement stated that Iwamasa began seeking additional sources of ketamine as Perry's addiction spiraled out of control.

On October 10, Iwamasa contacted middleman Erik Fleming, who allegedly worked with Jasveen Sangha, known as "The Ketamine Queen." Fleming delivered 25 vials of ketamine on October 14 and an additional 25 vials on October 24.

Between October 24 and October 27, Iwamasa allegedly injected Perry six to eight times a day. The assistant also reported finding Perry unconscious at least twice during the month of October.

Legal Consequences And Arrests

Iwamasa pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, causing death. He was among five individuals arrested on August 17, 2024, in connection with Perry's death.

Other arrests included Sangha and Plasencia, who were charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Fleming pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine and distribution of ketamine, resulting in death. Dr. Chavez agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.

The investigation and subsequent arrests have brought to light the extent of the drug network surrounding Perry in his final months. The case continues to unfold, revealing the tragic circumstances that led to the loss of a beloved actor and shedding light on the dangers of addiction and illicit drug use.
