On Thursday, Joe Biden had what his campaign was calling a "Big Boy" press conference.
Biden managed to get through it, but not before some added gaffes, and the Trump campaign pounced.

- Analysis
The press conference was clearly set up to try to save Joe Biden. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that was Biden's first real press conference of the year. When this press conference was over, we found out why Biden has not been giving them. While it was not quite as bad as the debate, it was not very good. Biden made several gaffes and had enough makeup on to be a Vegas showgirl.
The first thing I noticed was that his staff ensured he did not have that pale, pasty face look. I don't know if Biden put on tanner or if it was just all makeup, but they clearly got the message. Biden could not help but stumble throughout the presser, often confusing names. For instance, at one point, Joe confused Trump with Harris. Biden was responding to a question about Harris being qualified to run the county if he could not. Biden stated:
"Look, I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, if I didn't think that she's not qualified to be president, so let's start there, number one."
Biden also raised a lot of questions when he opened the floor to the reporters. Biden pulled a long piece of paper out and told the media that he had been given a list of people to call on, once again making it appear as though the Q&A had been set up with friendly reporters before the presser. The questions asked did nothing to quell that suspicion, and they were the exact questions that Biden needed to be asked for him to be able to save his campaign.
As I noted above, while Biden had all of the ideal questions asked, he failed to deliver an answer to quell fears, and it went well beyond subbing in Trump for Harris. And just about as soon as it started, Trump was firing off posts on Truth Social to call him out.
Trump hit Biden when he discussed intelligence reports, the Kamala Harris line, and the part of the speech where Joe Biden told everyone he was "following the advice of my commander-in-chief." Biden later tried to correct it by saying he meant his military leaders. After the press conference, Trump posted this video…

Trump was not the only one hitting Biden, as more Democrats came out of the shadows after the presser to demand that Biden step down. Rep. Greg Stanton (D-AZ) stated, "For the sake of American democracy and to continue to make progress on our shared priorities, I believe it is time for the President to step aside as our nominee."
Rep. Ed Case (D-HI) also came forward after the debate, saying that he believed "it is time for the President to step aside as our nominee."
Joe Biden seemed to make it pretty clear that he was not going anywhere. That press conference was likely enough to satisfy his doubters, but it added more fuel to the fire for those looking to have him removed from office. So, conservatives now get to sit back and watch the Democrat Party implode.
